Ramos Arizpe – Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas led the inauguration of the Infinitum Electric plant in Ramos Arizpe, where he highlighted that Coahuila continues to consolidate itself as one of the most competitive states in the country for investment, thanks to its labor stability, security and human capital.
“We continue to solidify Coahuila as one of Mexico’s major industrial engines. Today in Ramos Arizpe, we inaugurated the Infinitum Electric plant, an investment that generates more jobs and strengthens our high-tech industry. Companies continue to trust and invest here!” the governor emphasized.
During his message, the state governor acknowledged the work of businessman Ben Schuler, founder of the company, who more than 15 years ago embarked on the development of a technological innovation that today allows his company to compete internationally and expand from Austin, Texas, to the southeastern region of Coahuila.
He stated that it is gratifying to see companies like Infinitum Electric continue to grow and place their trust in Coahuila. They now have two industrial buildings in the southeastern region, and he is confident that many good things are in store for the company and the local community.
The governor highlighted that one of the main factors attracting investment to the state is the quality of its human capital.
“We have the best workers in the entire country. Committed people, go-getters, well-rounded people, and our people constantly strive to improve. Like good northerners, we always want to improve; it’s in our DNA,” he said.
Jiménez Salinas added that the state also offers key conditions for business development such as the rule of law, job stability, services, infrastructure and quality of life, in addition to maintaining high standards in security.
He indicated that these factors have allowed 185 new investments to be finalized during his administration, with an amount exceeding 158 billion pesos of national and foreign investment.
The state governor emphasized that the United States is Coahuila’s main trading partner, particularly the state of Texas, with which it maintains a long-standing and strategic relationship. He added that this represents a significant competitive advantage for continuing to attract investment and generate opportunities.
Finally, the governor reiterated that his administration will continue working hand in hand with business leaders, civil society, and municipal governments to boost the state’s economic growth.
“Here in Coahuila, we work as a great team—citizens, organized civil society, private sector, government, all together. That’s why we’re doing so well. That’s why we successfully face the challenges we have, because there’s great teamwork,” he concluded.
Ben Schuler, founder and president of Infinitum Electric, thanked the State Government, local authorities, and industrial partners for their support in establishing the company in the southeastern region of Coahuila. He emphasized that the plant will produce high-efficiency electric motors—a key technology that currently consumes approximately 53 percent of the world’s electricity—and noted that Coahuila is the ideal location for their production. He also stated that this project is just the beginning, as they currently have the capacity to produce 100,000 motors per year with plans to expand to millions of units, thus driving the technological and industrial development of the region.
Tore Slotfeldt, Vice President of Manufacturing at Infinitum Electric, emphasized that the decision to invest in Coahuila is based on key factors such as trust, talent, and the collaborative relationships that have been built in the region. He noted that, after two years of operations, the company has witnessed the quality and commitment of the people of Coahuila, whom he described as fundamental to the project’s growth and the company’s future development.
The Secretary of Economic Development, Luis Olivares Martínez, highlighted that the arrival of Infinitum Electric represents a strategic investment for the southeastern region of Coahuila, as it is a company that promotes advanced technology in electrical systems and is part of the new global industrial transformation.
He noted that the state has consolidated itself as one of the country’s main industrial centers thanks to three key factors: security, talent and confidence to invest, conditions that have allowed it to attract world-class projects and generate opportunities for development, innovation and employment for the people of Coahuila.
The mayor of Ramos Arizpe, Tomás Gutiérrez Merino, stated that the arrival of Infinitum Electric represents a significant investment for the municipality, strengthening the industrial development of the southeastern region and generating hundreds of jobs for local families. He noted that this company is committed to innovation in more efficient and sustainable electric motors, which will boost the area’s economic and technological growth, while also reaffirming the confidence of global companies in the talent, competitiveness, and development conditions that Coahuila offers.
