Maximize Pump
Performance

Infinitum Aircore EC motors are designed to work seamlessly with a variety of industrial pump applications. Our highly efficient integrated VFD systems are optimized for energy management and sustainability — ideal for pumps, compressors, vacuum pumps, and other variable speed applications.

From commercial HVAC systems to wastewater and water treatment facilities, many industrial and commercial pump applications require powerful and durable pumps to efficiently move fluids.
Imagine if every one of those pumps was powered by a motor designed to increase efficiency and improve system reliability, delivered in a form factor that is significantly smaller and lighter than a traditional motor. Sound impossible? It’s not. Infinitum has you covered. Our motors also offer additional flexibility for pump applications through the integrated variable frequency drive (VFD) and our optional Internet-of-Things (IoT) capabilities, making it straightforward for facility managers to program and monitor pump performance while optimizing for wire-to-water efficiency.
Powering centrifugal pumps
Whether your application requires a vertical or horizontal pump, Infinitum motors save space and increase pump efficiency. The innovative PCB stator in our motors offers current densities two to three times that of a conventional iron-core motor, and weighs 90 percent less. Our compact and powerful motor includes an integrated VFD, shrinking the overall motor footprint and requiring significantly less support structure, especially for vertical pumps, further reducing the cost of pump development and installation.

Driving efficient pumping

Commercial HVAC

Our integrated VFD and optional IoT sensors give HVAC OEMs the ultimate flexibility to program pumps for fine control of pressure and flow, meeting a range of specifications for HVAC applications ranging from heat circulator pumps to chillers.

Water & wastewater

Water and wastewater treatment facilities are critical infrastructure, so failure is not an option. Our motors are based on innovative PCB stator technology that is up to 9X more reliable than a conventional copper wire wound stator, for reliable 24/7 operation.

Agriculture

With built-in VFD and IoT capabilities, farmers can efficiently control the pumps powering irrigation operations, intelligently distributing water throughout their farms while reducing energy usage and combating rising operational costs.

Food & beverage

The food and beverage industry faces immense pressure to reduce production resource usage, which means the many pumping applications, including industrial vacuum pumps and compressors, can benefit from being powered by more efficient motors.

Key benefits for pump applications

Superior control in
a small form factor
Perform fine motor control with the integrated state-of-the-art VFD to run pumps at lower speeds and reduce overall energy consumption.
Reducing pump
footprint
The disc-shaped design of our motors lets you significantly reduce the space and support structure required to mount even your most powerful pumps.
Predictive analytics to
minimize downtime
With built-in IoT technology, our motors can be programmed to provide valuable real-time performance analytics that can improve your uptime.
Smart, efficient circulator pumps

Increasing energy efficiency and cutting climate pollution with technologies like smart, efficient circulator pumps help us to better integrate renewable energy onto the grid and can even lower the cost of electricity.

Circulator pumps with Infinitum’s Aircore motor and integrated VFDs, relay information on the motor’s speed and power back to a system controller. The data can be used to determine a pump’s pressure and flow and allow the system to adjust performance as needed. With this capability, mechanical features such as control valves, flow meters, and pressure gauges can be eliminated from the system—saving installation costs and further improving operational efficiencies.

Using Aircore EC motors to develop more efficient pump applications
Our Aircore EC motors are designed to work seamlessly with a variety of industrial pump applications, helping facilities overcome common issues associated with pump design, installation, and maintenance. The small disc-like shape of our motors offers a much needed motor option for easily working within the tight spaces where pumps are typically required. Additionally, our motors are designed to withstand the harsh environments present in many industrial settings as third-party reliability tests have shown our PCB stator is up to 10X more reliable than a conventional copper wire wound stator.
Industry awards and memberships
Infinitum has been honored with multiple prestigious awards recently. This includes two R&D 100 awards as well as multiple AHR awards including the AHR Product of the Year Award and Innovation Awards in both the building automation and controls and ventilation categories. We also stay at the forefront of fan industry innovations and standard development through our membership in the Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA).

The Infinitum Electric motor generates as much power as a traditional AC induction motor but has half the weight and size, makes a fraction of the noise, and emits at least 25 percent less carbon.

Electric motors are already the world’s single largest consumer of electricity, with demand projected to increase dramatically in coming years. It’s time to focus on efficient electrification of motors and other industrial equipment.

In this blog post, we’ll highlight some of the challenges of retrofitting the motor in your pump system, with several considerations for motor selection.
