A Bit of Background
Bhavnesh brings to Infinitum more than 20 years of business development expertise that spans multiple domains including industrial automation hardware, software, and mission critical services. Prior to joining Infinitum, Bhavnesh was CEO and founder of Volt480, an innovative work order SaaS platform for manufacturing service providers. While at Volt480, he recruited and built a sales, marketing and software development team where they continuously grew monthly recurring revenue from MVP to exit.
Bhavnesh spent the majority of his career leading sales and product management efforts for global industrial automation leader, Rockwell Automation, where he became passionate about the commercialization of new and innovative solutions. Bhavnesh earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.
Throughout his career, Bhavnesh has lived in 12 cities across four countries and traveled extensively to more than 40 countries. His bucket list goal is to get to 80 countries by the age of 80. He currently resides in Austin, Texas, and the next country he plans to visit is Peru.
Making Motors for Mission Critical Systems
Since joining Infinitum in 2019, Bhavnesh has helped the company secure more than $130 million in funding. Bhavnesh and his team have secured customer agreements with more than $900 million in potential orders across a wide variety of companies in data centers, HVAC, heavy industry, and electric mobility that aim to reduce energy and emissions with more reliable, smaller, lighter, quieter, higher-efficiency motors.
Bhavnesh has also helped lead Infinitum’s commitment to advancing industry standards through participation on multiple National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) committees. Bhavnesh has served on NEMA Cybersecurity Council, Digital Technologies Council, High Performance Buildings Council, Executive Committee and Motor and Generator Council.
As a new member of the 7×24 Exchange, Bhavnesh looks forward to helping solve the challenges of mission critical infrastructure.
Meeting Data Center Sustainability Goals
“The world’s demand for data is exponentially increasing and the energy consumption of data centers is rising alongside it. Some of the world’s largest data centers now consume enough electricity to power 80,000 homes. Moreover, Vertiv predicts 5G adoption alone could increase total network energy consumption by between 150% and 170% by 2026. One 2017 study forecast the communications industry alone might use 20% of the world’s electricity by 2025 and generate 14% of global emissions by 2040 – or about as much as the entire U.S. does today. Considering the probable impact of increased energy consumption to the environment – not to mention the costs to companies – taking steps to reduce the cost to power data centers makes good business sense.
Currently, about 40% of power consumed by data centers goes towards cooling equipment. While new approaches in data center cooling are advancing the industry, much more will need to be done to improve sustainability. HVAC systems designed with ultra high-efficiency motors to cool data centers excel compared to systems with traditional motors, which have largely remained the same for the last 100 years. HVAC systems designed with ultra high-efficiency HVAC motors not only reduce energy demand and day-to-day data center operational costs, but employ remote diagnostics and analytics to reduce the total cost of ownership. Clearly, this capability is crucial for large, mission-critical data centers, but is also useful for smaller data centers and their leaner on-site staff.”
